Summer's Attic Downtown Kearney

Kearney is located north of Huntsville near Algonquin Provincial Park in the Almaguin Highlands just outside of Muskoka.  Kearney has recently upgraded its downtown area with new post lighting and new sidewalks.  Kearney's downtown is surrounded by water offering a public boat launch, beach and a large docked tourist area for visitors to enjoy.
Downtown Kearney has just added a new gift store called Summer's Attic.  This unique gift store is located across from the Kearney Bistro and beside the town dock.  For hours of operation contact them at 705-783-2120 or contact their Magnetawan location at 705-387-1452.
While visiting the Kearney area we recommend tourists visit this unique little town and enjoy the downtown candy store, gift store, Algonquin Outfitter, general store, bistro restaurant, chip stand, fetterley's general store and gas station and liquor store.
There is a wide variety of accommodations to choose from to include cottage resorts, bed and breakfast, campgrounds, private cottage rentals and ontario cottage rentals.

Kearney Swimming Lessons

Kearney is located in the Almaguin Highlands only 2.5 hours from Toronto and north of Muskoka.  Kearney is near Algonquin Park and Huntsville.  For the past 3 years this town has been offering swimming lessons to anyone that wants to join over the summer.  The cost for the lessons is only $35/session.  You can do a one week session by doubling up and have a level completed during your vacation.  The instructors run 3 full sessions over the summer giving you lots of dates to choose from.  If you are staying here for your vacation you can choose to stay at a bed and breakfast, Inn, cottage resort, private cottage or a campground.  The two instructors in our town are great with the children and the children love having them for teachers.
My kids have been taking lessons at the Kearney Beach for 3 years now and they love their instructors.
If you decide to spend your vacation at a Cottage Resort this year come check out the Red Cross swimming lessons.
If you want more details contact Danette Evely at Almaguin Vacation or Sand Lake Cottages Resort.
